Douglas

Douglas is Surrey's southernmost urban neighbourhood, situated on approximately 61 hectares between Highway 99 and Highway 15, directly north of the U.S. border near the Peace Arch and Pacific crossings. The NCP designates the area as predominantly residential with two small commercial nodes, a neighbourhood park, and an elementary school site, reflecting a low-intensity suburban land use pattern. The plan was approved in two stages (1996 and 1999) and is now in the implementation phase, with completed engineering and servicing strategies covering sanitary, water, transportation, and drainage infrastructure. The northern boundary abuts the Agricultural Land Reserve and Glades Garden Park, which constrains expansion and effectively defines the neighbourhood's urban footprint.
